Senior SAP LeanIX Engineer / Solution Architect

The opportunity
Senior technical specialist required to lead the end-to-end implementation and configuration of SAP LeanIX, focusing on data modeling, integrations, and enterprise-wide platform adoption.
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP LeanIX Engineer / Solution Architect to lead the technical implementation, configuration, and optimization of an enterprise architecture management platform for a Washington, DC-based client. This individual will work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to establish a scalable, sustainable architecture management capability while delivering measurable business value throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation and configuration of SAP LeanIX.
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise architecture data models, fact sheets, and relationships.
- Establish and optimize LeanIX platform architecture, integrations, and workflows.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture stakeholders to define implementation priorities and technical requirements.
- Develop and execute a phased implementation roadmap with measurable deliverables.
- Integrate LeanIX with existing enterprise applications, data sources, and technology management systems.
- Establish data governance standards, quality controls, and ongoing maintenance processes.
- Configure dashboards, reporting capabilities, and architecture visualization tools.
- Support stakeholder onboarding, platform adoption, and knowledge transfer.
- Recommend industry best practices for enterprise architecture management and application portfolio management.
- Troubleshoot platform configuration, data integration, and operational issues.
Key Requirements (What We're Looking For)
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP LeanIX implementation, configuration, and administration.
- Proven experience standing up LeanIX environments from initial deployment through production adoption.
- Experience with LeanIX data modeling, fact sheets, integrations, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture (EA) principles and application portfolio management.
- Experience developing technical roadmaps and delivering phased implementation milestones.
- Ability to collaborate directly with Enterprise Architects and technical stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of platform governance, data quality, and integration best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- SAP LeanIX certifications or formal platform training.
- Experience integrating LeanIX with ServiceNow, SAP, or other enterprise platforms.
- Familiarity with TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Experience with APIs, automation, and enterprise data integrations.
- Previous experience implementing enterprise architecture management platforms in large organizations.
- Experience driving platform adoption and organizational change management.
Who We're NOT Looking For
- This role is for a hands-on LeanIX implementation specialist, not simply an Enterprise Architect who has used LeanIX for reporting.
Location & Work Authorization
- Remote (Supporting a Washington, DC-Based Client).
Engagement Details
- Duration: 12+ Months.
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Rate: Up to $80/hr.
